- Blondies
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
- 1/2 cup margarine or butter softened
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 2 eggs
- 1 3/4 cups flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 cup chopped almonds
- Topping
- 3/4 cup almond brickle baking chips
- 1/4 cup chopped almonds
Directions[]
- Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease 13x9-inch pan.
- In large bowl, combine sugar, brown sugar and margarine; blend well.
- Add flour, baking powder and salt; mix well.
- Stir in 1/2 cup almonds.
- Spread in pan.
- Bake 20-30 minutes or until golden brown and set.
- Remove from oven; sprinkle evenly with topping ingredients.
- Return to oven; bake an additional 2 minutes.
- Cool 1 hour or until completely cooled. Cut into bars.
