Purchased from Zimmerman Estate in Terrell, Texas in 1989. This recipe indicates it is a church pot luck favorite. Dated 1936. I have made it and it is very good.



  1. Cook the green beans in boiling salted water until tender but still lightly crisp.
  2. Drain well. Melt the butter in a medium skillet.
  3. Add the almonds and toast them slightly over low heat.
  4. Add the beans to the butter and almonds and toss to coat.
