American Cheese Beany Chili Dip

Description

This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Ritchie Estate in Balch Springs, Texas in 1984.

Ingredients

• 2 pounds processed American cheese
• 2 medium white onions chopped
• 2 tablespoons butter
• 2 cans chili with beans
• 1 teaspoon chili powder
• 1 dash tabasco sauce

Directions

1. Melt cheese in top of double boiler.
2. Brown chopped onions in butteror margarine; add to cheese with other ingredients.
3. Blend well.
4. Serve hot.
