Amish Apple Cake


Caramel sauce Edit


  1. Cream the butter.
  2. Add the sugar and beat until fluffy.
  3. Add the egg and beat until well blended.
  4. Mix in the soda, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg.
  5. Add the flour and stir.
  6. Stir in the apples and nuts.
  7. Pour into an oiled cake pan and bake in an oven for 30 minutes.
  8. Serve with hot Caramel sauce.

  1. Melt the butter, brown sugar and salt.
  2. Bring to a boil.
  3. Remove from heat and whisk in vanilla and milk.
  4. Serve warm sauce over cake.
