Ingredients[]
- 1 c Quick cooking rolled oats
- 1/2 c Whole bran cereal
- 1/3 c Whole wheat flour
- 1/3 c Brown sugar, packed
- 1/4 ts Baking soda
- 1/2 ts cinnamon
- 1/4 ts nutmeg
- 1/4 ts ginger
- 1/2 c Butter or margarine
- 1 pk Regular butterscotch pudding-mix, 4 oz pkg.
- 1 1/4 c milk
- 22 oz Apple pie filling
- 1 ts Finely shredded lemon peel
- 2 tb Lemon juice
Directions[]
- Mix oats, cereal, flour, sugar, soda and spices.
- Cut in butter or margarine until crumbly.
- Pat half the mixture into a 8x8x2 inch baking dish.
- Bake in 350~ oven 10 minutes.
- Prepare pudding mix according to package directions except use the 1 1/2 cups milk.
- Pour over crumb layer.
- Mix remaining ingredients; spoon over pudding.
- Top with remaining crumbs.
- Bake, uncovered, in 350~ oven 30 to 35 minutes.
- Serve warm or cool with ice cream, if desired.
