Applesauce Cookies are an old-fashioned type to try.
Ingredinets[]
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 1 beaten egg
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup applesauce
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 2 cups flour
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1 cup raisins and/or chocolate chips
Directons[]
- Cream together shortening, egg, suagr, applesauce and baking soda
- Sift togethre flour, salt, nutmeg, and cinnamo
- Mix dry and wet ingredients
- Add chocolate chips and/or raisins
- Drop onto greased cookie sheets with a teaspoon
- Bake at 375 degrees F for 15 to 20 minutes until done
