Arepas Fritas de Queso o Chicharron

Description

Fried corn cakes from Antioquia with cheese or pork rind

Ingredients

• 1 x Basic arepa dough recipe
• 1 cup grated white cheese(Muenster, Paisa, or semisoft white cheese will work well), or 1 cup ground pork rind (chicharrones)

Directions

1. Knead dough with cheese or chicharrones.
2. Shape into 4-inch discs and deep-fry in hot oil until crispy.
3. Drain on paper towels and serve hot.
