This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Williams Estate in Tyler, Texas in 1994.



  1. Melt butter then add flour, salt and pepper until blended.
  2. Add milk and place a layer of drained asparagus, half the cheese, half the almonds and half the sauce.
  3. Repeat once more than sprinkle with crumbs and dots of butter and bake at 375 for 25 minutes.
