- Combine the Serrano chiles, 1 to 2 cups cilantro, coarsely chopped onion, undrained tomatoes, garlic and cumin in a blender.
- Pulse until blended and pour into a bowl.
- Combine the onion wedges, 1/2 to 1 cup cilantro, fresh tomato, salt and lemon juice in the blender.
- Pulse until chunky; the mixture should be of a coarser consistency than the Serrano chile mixture.
- Stir into the Serrano chile mixture and serve with tortilla chips.

- The abundance of cilantro gives it a true authentic flavor.
- The salsa may become spicier if allow to stand overnight or longer. Add a taste of lemon juice to lessen the heat.
