  1. Place all the fruit in a large saucepan with the water, sugar, vanilla pod and cinnamon stick.
  2. Simmer for 10 - 15 minutes until fruit is tender.
  3. Cool and remove the vanilla pod and cinnamon stick just before serving.
  4. Serve with cream, or as the filling for a crumble or pie.
