- 200 g flour (besan)
- 100 g all purpose flour
- Few drops of food coloring
- A pinch of baking soda
- 1 medium onion finely chopped
- 1/2 c finely chopped coriander leaves
- 1/2 c finely chopped spring onions
- 1 tsp ginger paste
- 1 tsp [[garlic[[ paste
- 1 green chili finely chopped (optional)
- Salt to taste
- Water
- Oil for deep frying

- Put all the ingredients except the oil in a large bowl and gradually mix with cold water so as to make a thick batter.
- Heat oil in a frying pan.
- Drop spoonful of the mixture into the hot oil and fry on medium heat until golden brown.
- Drain on a paper towel and serve hot.
