This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Hellmann Estate in Lewisville, Texas in 1982.

Ingredients[]
- ⅔ cup shortening
- 1½ cups sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup mashed bananas
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 2 cups flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- ½ cup chopped pecans
- powdered sugar
Directions[]
- Mix all ingredients except powdered sugar well and pour into greased tube pan.
- Bake at 375°F for 25 minutes then sprinkle with powdered sugar.
