This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Keller Estate in Arlington, Texas in 1994.

Ingredients[]

Orange Cream Frosting[]

Directions[]

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Generously grease jelly roll pan.
  3. Sift dry ingredients together onto wax paper.
  4. In small bowl stir together sour cream and banana.
  5. In large bowl of electric mixer beat together butter, sugar and eggs for 3 minutes.
  6. Stir flour mixture alternately with banana mixture into butter mixture.
  7. Beat by hand after each addition until batter is smooth.
  8. Pour batter into prepared pan and smooth top with spatula.
  9. Bake in preheated 350 oven for 30 minutes.
  10. Cool completely on a wire rack then top with frosting.

Orange Cream Frosting[]

  1. To make frosting beat butter until fluffy.
  2. Beat in icing sugar alternately with juice until smooth and spreadable.
  3. Fold in grated rind then spread evenly over top of cake.
  4. Garnish with nuts.
