Banny's Southern Cream Cookies
- 1 c shortening
- 2 c sugar
- 3 eggs -- Beaten
- 1 tb vanilla
- 1 c sour cream
- 5 c flour
- 1 tb salt
- 3 ts baking powder
- 1/2 ts baking soda
- 1 1/2 c black walnuts -- Chopped
- 3 tb sugar
- 1 t cinnamon
Cream Together The shortening And sugar. Add The eggs, vanilla AndSour
Cream; Mix Well. Stir in The flour, salt, baking powder And BakingSoda
To Make a Stiff Dough. Add Chopped Nuts. Drop by Teaspoonsful OntoGreased Cookie Sheet. Mix 3 Tablespoons sugar And 1 Teaspoon CinnamonIn
A Saucer. Grease The Bottom of a Jelly Glass. Dip Into TheCinnamon/Sugar And Gently Press The Cookies to Flatten The Balls OfDough.
Bake at 350f For 10 to 15 Minutes or Until Centers Are Done. TheseCookies Travel And Freeze Well.
I Only Use 1/2 Tablespoon of salt For These.
