Basbousa with almonds



  1. Bring water, sugar and lemon juice to a boil.
  2. Simmer for few minutes.
  3. Chop almonds fine and fry them in hot butter together with semolina until golden.
  4. Add hot syrup slowly stirring constantly over low heat until thickened.
  5. Remove from heat and cover.
  6. Let it cool.
  7. Pour into individual greased molds.
  8. Unmold and serve warm.
  9. Decorate with almond and dollop of cream.
