  1. Combine beef stock, barley, and onions in soup kettle.
  2. Bring to boil; reduce heat.
  3. Cook for 1 hour or until barley is tender.
  4. Add potatoes and beef.
  5. Add salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Cook 15 minutes.
  7. Serve hot.

Microwave Edit

  1. Combine as above.
  2. Cook on high for about 5 minutes and reduce heat to low.
  3. Cook 20 minutes.
  4. Add remaining ingredients.
  5. Cook 5 minutes.
  6. Serve hot.
