Beets roasted in Wine

Description

This is a recipe I obtained from an Estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Ellis Estate in Fort Worth, Texas in 1980.

Ingredients

• 1 bunch beets peeled and cubed
• 1 cup red wine
• ¼ cup honey
• 2 tablespoons butter

Directions

1. Place beets in saucepan then add remaining ingredients and enough water to barely cover.
2. Simmer until tender then pour into baking dish and bake at 350°F for 30 minutes.
