BEETS WITH MAPLE SYRUP This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Ritchie Estate in Balch Springs, Texas in 1984. 8 beets washed 1/2 cup maple syrup 4 tablespoons butter 1/4 teaspoon sugar 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon 1/4 teaspoon cloves Bake beets at 350 for 45 minutes the remove from oven and peel and slice. Put beets, butter, syrup and seasonings in baking dish and bake at 350 for 15 minutes.
