"Bean Drops". Small balls can be served with toothpicks.



  1. Pour dry beans in a blender with a cup of water.
  2. Chop for one minute.
  3. Pour in large bowl and add water.
  4. Stir until skins float.
  5. Strain into colander; allow all skin and eyes to flow out.
  6. Blend beans, onion and pepper.
  7. Pour in a bowl, add salt, and stir with a wooden spoon for two minutes.
  8. Heat oil until moderately hot.
  9. Drop mixture into oil with spoon.
  10. Fry until golden brown.
  11. Drain on absorbent paper.
