Description[]
A "drink" similar to Boerenjongens, although this is made with apricots and sherry or white wine. The name translates to "Farming Lassies".
Ingredients[]
- 400 g apricots
- 400 g Sugar
- lemon peel or cinnamon stick
- 50 g raisins
- 1 liter sherry or white wine
Directions[]
- Wash the apricots and leave to drain.
- Put them in a stoppered bottle and add the lemon peel and raisins.
- Boil the sugar with a little water, leave to cool and mix with the sherry or white wine.
- Pour onto the apricots and leave to stand for 2 months.
- With white wine it doesn't keep as long as with sherry, so should be drunk sooner.
