- Makes 5 cups of sauce
Black Jack Bar-B-Q Sauce[]
- ¼ cup Del Monte hot chili peppers, minced
- 1 cup strong black coffee
- 1 cup Worcestershire sauce
- 1 cup catsup
- ½ cup cider vinegar
- ½ cup brown sugar
- 3 tbsp chili powder
- 2 tsp salt
- 2 cups onion, chopped
- 6 cloves garlic, minced
Ribs[]
- 5 pounds ribs
- 3 cups Black Jack Bar-B-Q Sauce

- Stem and seed peppers.
- Measure whole before chopping.
- Combine all ingredients and simmer for 25 minutes.
- Strain or puree.
- Refrigerate.
Ribs[]
- Place ribs in a flat pan or dish. Pour sauce over ribs, turning to coat all over.
- Pierce meat with a fork. Marinate for 8 hours, turning once.
- Remove ribs from marinade and brush off excess sauce.
- Broil or grill over coals for 10 minutes.
- Brush with marinade and cook for 4 to 5 minutes more.
- Heat some sauce and serve with ribs.
- May be cooked in 350°F oven for 1½ hours.
