Bunny Burgers

1 pound hamburger 1 teaspoon salt

  1/8     teaspoon pepper

2 tablespoons catsup 4 or 6 thin slices processed cheese 4 to 6 hamburger buns

Mix meat with other ingredients. Shape into 4 generous sized or 6 smaller size patties. Broil or grill about 10 minutes on one side depending upon thickness of patty. Turn and grill on other side. Just before removing from heat place a rabbit's face on each hamburger. To retain the rabbit decoration, heat until the cheese softens but does not melt completely. Serve open faced. If desired, place the top of bun alongside.

To make bunny faces, cut a pattern from a piece of cheese into a circle slightly smaller than the bun so the face will fit the hamburger. Save the cut off corner pieces to make the long ears. Cut out eyes, nose and mouth according to pattern. (Thin slices of carrot shaped like ears could also be used for the ears.)
