Busy Day Baked Beans in the Crock Pot

Description

This is a recipe I obtained from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Hager estate in Canton, Texas in 1982.

Ingredients

• 5 cans navy beans drained
• 1 small white onion peeled and chopped
• 1½ cup maple syrup
• 2 tablespoons yellow mustard
• ½ teaspoon salt
• 4 slices thick cut bacon

Directions

1. In a 5-quart crock pot mix together all ingredients except bacon.
2. Lay bacon strips over the bean mixture then cover and cook on low for 14 hours.
