Description[]
Càrnyog is a Dessert made from a combination of Greek Yoghurt and Hazelnut Spread, however it also can be created using Chocolate sauce and normal yoghurt or other mixes however for a more original taste Greek Yoghurt and Nutella/Hazelnut Spread should be used. The dish can also be served with Fruits such as Strawberries or Bananas
The dish's origins are likely from Northern England specifically the North east during the 19th century however it is eaten across Northern England. The name comes from the Scots Gaelic root of 'Càrn' meaning to come from the Earth referring to nuts/hazelnuts and cocoa and yogh from the simplified english of Yoghurt.
