In Romanian: Prajitura cu amoniac
- 1 teaspoon ammonia powder
- 7 yolks
- ¾ cup confectioner's sugar
- ½ cup melted butter
- flour as needed
- a few sliced walnuts or almonds
- Cream the butter with the sugar, adding the yolks one by one.
- Add the ground ammonia and mix until the mixture lightens in color.
- Add flour and knead rapidly to obtain a soft dough.
- Roll a finger thick sheet and lay on the baking sheet. Wash with a little egg.
- Sprinkle sliced walnuts or almonds on top. Bake, first at low temperature, then increase it.
- After it is completely cold, cut into desired shapes.
