  1. Place the cream and sugar in a medium saucepan over medium heat
  2. Meanwhile, place the water in a small bowl and sprinkle the gelatin over it
  3. Let stand for 5 minutes.
  4. Stir the gelatin into the warm cream until melted.
  5. Let cool slightly.
  6. Stir in the buttermilk and salt.
  7. Refrigerate until just set for 2 hours.
