Carob Crunchies

Ingredients

Crunchies

• 2¼ cups whole wheat flour
• 1 egg
• ¼ cup vegetable oil
• ¼ cup applesauce
• ½ cup hot water
• 1 tbsp honey
• 1 tsp molasses

Icing

• 1 cup carob chips

Directions

Crunchies

1. Mix all of the crunchies' ingredients together until well blended.
2. Knead dough two minutes on a lightly floured surface.
3. Roll to ¼" thickness.
4. Cut out and bake on an ungreased cookie sheet for 30 minutes in a 300 °F oven.
5. Cool.

Icing

1. Melt carob chips in microwave or saucepan.
2. Dip cooled crunchies in carob, or lay them on a flat surface and brush melted carob over the biscuits with a pastry brush.
3. Let cool.
