Bangladeshi food is presented in several courses- courses include a first course of vegetables, fish and rice; a second course of meat, such as chicken, beef, goat or lamb. The third course consists of daal (lentils), which helps to mellow the spiciness of the other courses. The fourth course consists of delicious and unique Bangladeshi sweets, accompanied by a steaming cup of chai (tea).. The following appetizers are a great way to start of an authentic Bangladeshi meal.

  • Samosa- Ground beef and potato wrapped in wheat dough and fried.
  • Fuchka- Small, puffed, whole-wheat flat bread stuffed with chat putty.
  • Haleem- A spicy combination of lentils with meat, fried onion and fresh ginger. Choice of beef, chicken or goat.
