Bangladeshi food is presented in several courses- courses include a first course of vegetables, fish and rice; a second course of meat, such as chicken, beef, goat or lamb. The third course consists of daal (lentils), which helps to mellow the spiciness of the other courses. The fourth course consists of delicious and unique Bangladeshi sweets, accompanied by a steaming cup of chai (tea).. When planning a menu a great idea is to add delicious bowl of soup as a second or third course. Follows are some favorites of Bangladeshis'.

  • Subzi ka Shorba- Garden fresh vegetables with herbs and spices..
  • Murgh ka Shorba- A favorite of all, made with split peas, chicken, onions and vegetable, lightly spiced.
  • Chennai Tomato- Cream of fresh tomatoes garnished with green peas, freshly ground spices and bread croutons.
