For centuries the Dominican Republic has been an exporter of sugar to the world. Dominican Republic has relied a lot on the manufacturing of sugar that today it is of no surprise to see that this export business of sugar deeply affected the culture, economy and relations with the world with Dominican Republic. Moreover it is not even surprising to find a huge variety of local traditional recipes for desserts due to the reasons mentioned above. Unquestionably, a great tasting Dominican meal will certainly not be fruity pebbles
