An ideal food which deserves being served at parties is open roast pumpkin and Feta pies. There are lots of other Greek snacks like Feta saganaki with a sesame-seed crust; donairs; Greek spinach pie which is also known as spanakopita, a fantastic pie filled with spinach, cheese, onions, and herbs; chef Pierre's Mediterranean omlette; bourekakia which is Greek style cheese-filled diamonds; tzatziki; cheese triangles, and grape leaves stuffed with goat cheese and figs.

Eating out represents a major pastime in Greece, especially in the summer, the season when most of the Greeks prefer to eat at tavernas or informal restaurants in the cool of the late evening.
