Maltese recipes are typically European and North African with special ingredients which make them unique and tasty. Some of these incredible recipes are:

  • Kapunata -This is a Maltese version of Ratatouille made from tomatoes, capers, aubergines and green peppers which goes fine with grilled fish, or can be served cold; on its own as a savoury light dine.
  • Mqarrun il-Forn- A dish filled with macaroni, minced beef, eggs and a Bolognese sauce. The macaroni is sometimes topped with a layer of cheese or bescamella that will melt throughout the boiling process.
