Papua New Guinean Recipes

A traditional Papuan recipe requires as main ingredient snake. After you can catch the snack you have to tie it to a pole and remove its skin which is generally sold. Paua soup or power soup is one Papuan dish which requires snake meat. To prepare paua soup you have to cut the snake, after being remove its skin in small pieces and boil the pieces for three or four hours. Meanwhile add onion, salt, chili and pepper. It also may be added brandy. Other exceptional recipes are Sago Grub Sate with Peanut Sauce, bully beef (corned beef with rice), hula crab and taro, Kokoda fish made with fish and lime or coconut sauce, Kol Pis No Rais made with fish and rice, Dia made of sago and bananas with coconut cream.
