Rwandan recipes are not as numerous and varied, but there are several delicious dishes among them. Bananas with Green Split Peas are quite popular surpassed as far as popularity goes only by the well known Isombe dish. Chicken with Tomato Sauce or Herbed Chicken are other recipes that would normally be found at a special celebration such as a wedding. Other interesting dishes include Pesto Sauce, Rwanda Beef Stew and Rwandan dry Chicken. Other desserts and snacks include Amandazi (Fritters) and Plantain Cake.
