  1. Preheat oven to 250 °F.
  2. Spread butter on bread & cut into small cubes.
  3. In casserole dish, alternate layers of bread cubes and cheese.
  4. In a bowl, beat together egg, milk and dry mustard; pour over bread; stir gently.
  5. Let stand at least 10 minutes.
  6. Bake 40–45 minutes or till set in center.
