Cherry Cordial Cookies

Description

• Makes about 4 dozen cookies

Ingredients

• 1 pkg (about 18 oz) cherry cake mix
• ¾ cup (1½ sticks) butter or margarine, softened
• 2 eggs
• 1 cup Hershey's mini chips semi-sweet chocolate

Mini chips glaze

• 1 cup mini chips semi-sweet chocolate
• 3 tablespoons shortening (do not use butter, margarine or oil).

Directions

1. Heat oven to 350°F.
2. In large bowl combine cake mix, butter and eggs; beat well.
3. Stir in small chocolate chips.
4. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet.
5. Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until almost set.
6. Cool slightly; remove from cookie sheet to wire rack.
7. Cool completely.
8. Drizzle mini chips glaze onto cooled cookies; allow to set.

Mini chips glaze

1. In small microwave-safe bowl, place mini chips semi-sweet chocolate with shortening.
2. Microwave at high (100%) 45 seconds; stir.
3. If necessary, microwave at high additional 15 seconds or until chocolate is melted and mixture is smooth when stirred.
4. Use immediately.
