Once you stir in a few extra goodies, a no-bake cheesecake and storebrought cookies become a dessert both kids and adults will like. Be sure to use firm chocolate chip cookies rather than the soft kind. We like the texture they added.
Ingredients[]
- 1 (11.1-ounce) package no-bake cheesecake dessert
- 1/3 cup chocolate cookie crumbs
- 1/2 cup butter or margarine, melted
- 14 chocolate chip cookies
- 1/4 cup fudge sauce
- 1 1/2 cups cold milk
- 1 (3-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
- 1 1/2 cups frozen whipped topping, thawed
- 2 tablespoons fudge sauce
Directions[]
- Prepare crust for cheesecake according to package directions, adding chocolate cookie crumbs and melted butter.
- Press into a 9" pieplate.
- Arrange 8 cookies in a single layer in crust, drizzle with 1/4 cup fudge sauce.
- Prepare filling according to the package directions, using 1 1/2 cups milk and beating in softened cream cheese; spoon into crust.
- Cover and chill 8 hours.
- Spread whipped topping over filling.
- Chop remaining 6 cookies; sprinkle over whipped topping.
- Drizzle with 2 tablespoons fudge sauce.
- Chill until ready to serve.
Yield: 1 (9") cheesecake
