Divine chocolate and peanut flavours make this a treat worth wrapping up for gifts. This crowd-pleasing and addictive snack can be made ahead.
Ingredients[]
- 4 dark chocolate bars (3 1/2 oz, 100 g, each), chopped
- 1 cup (250 ml) crisp rice cereal
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) dry-roasted peanuts, coarsely chopped
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) peanut butter chips
Directions[]
- Heat chocolate in medium heavy saucepan on lowest heat, stirring often, until almost melted.
- Remove from heat.
- Stir until smooth.
- Add cereal.
- Stir until coated.
- Spread evenly on waxed paper-lined baking sheet with sides.
- Scatter peanuts and peanut butter chips over top.
- Place waxed paper over top.
- Press down lightly.
- Chill for about 2 hours until firm.
- Break bark into irregular-shaped pieces.
Makes about 40 pieces
