Directions[edit | edit source]

  1. First cream Crisco and sugar together.
  2. Add chocolate melted, eggs well beaten, vanilla extract, flour, salt, and soda.
  3. Mix and turn out on to floured baking board.
  4. Roll out thin, and cut with small cutter.
  5. Lay on Criscoed tin and bake from seven to ten minutes in moderate oven.
