  1. First cream the shortening with the Sugar and cocoa powder.
  2. Add gradually the milk and the beaten egg.
  3. Mix well.
  4. Mix flour, baking powder and salt and add to the first mixture.
  5. Roll out on floured pastry board to a thickness of 1/4 inch.
  6. Cut with cookie cutter.
  7. Bake on greased baking pan in hot oven for about 15 minutes.
