Colombian Fresh Banana Cake

  1. In a mixing bowl combine the cake mix baking soda and eggs.
  2. Add to the batter.
  3. Blend ingredients for 3 minutes.
  4. In a bowl combine the bananas with the lemon juice;add to the batter.
  5. Add the chopped nuts to the batter and beat for 1 minute.
  6. Turn the batter into a baking disk.
  7. Bake in a preheated 350ºF oven for about 40 minutes.
  8. Cool on a rack for 15 minutes.
  9. Remove cake from pan and turn right side up on a rack to finish cooling.
  10. Combine all of the ingredients except the vanilla extract.
  11. Beat for 1 minute.
  12. Place over boiling water.
  13. Beat for 7 minutes.
  14. Remove from boiling water.
  15. Add the vanilla extract and continue beating about 2 minutes.
  16. Spread on the sides and top of the cold banana cake.
