CONEY SAUCE This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Omega Estate in Murphy, Texas in 1987. 1/2 cup chopped white onion 1 clove minced garlic 2 tablespoons butter 1 pound lean ground beef 2 tablespoons yellow mustard 2 tablespoons cider vinegar 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce 1/2 teaspoon hot pepper sauce 1 cup ketchup 2 teaspoons Hungarian paprika 2 teaspoons chili powder Saut� onions and garlic. Add ground beef and cook until browned then drain off excess fat. Combine remaining ingredients and mix well. Add to ground beef then stir well and heat through. Reduce heat and simmer for one hour.
