  1. Boil the milk.
  2. When it is boiling, add the cream of wheat a little at a time, like a rain.
  3. Keep stirring. Let it boil until it resembles a soft polenta.
  4. Remove from heat; add butter and salt and mix.
  5. After cooling, add the beaten egg, mixing well.
  6. From this mixture, shape croquettes the size of a small sausage.
  7. Fry in hot oil and serve with sautés.
