  1. Tear bread, with crusts, into 1- to 2-inch pieces.
  2. Place into crockpot.
  3. Pour milk over bread; let soak 30 minutes.
  4. Stir in dried fruit, nuts and apple.
  5. Combine remaining ingredients in a small bowl.
  6. Pour over bread mixture.
  7. Stir well to blend.
  8. Cover and cook on low for 3½ to 4 hours or until skewer inserted in center comes out clean.
