  1. In medium sized skillet, put 4 cups water, add peas and boil until tender.
  2. Add more water if necessary.
  3. Blend cooked peas in blender on medium speed for 15 seconds.
  4. Return blended peas to pot.
  5. Chonko (sauté) onion and garlic in hot fat.
  6. Add to blended peas.
  7. Season with cumin, yellow ginger and salt.
  8. Cook over low heat for 8 – 10 minutes.
  9. Serve with white rice.
  10. Accompaniment to the main dish.
