  1. Combine water, salt and caraway seed in a large saucepan.
  2. Bring to a boil; add potatoes.
  3. Boil, covered, for 15 minutes.
  4. Meanwhile stir flour into sour cream.
  5. Stir flour mixture into potato mixture.
  6. Add mushrooms, cover; simmer for 10 minutes.
  7. Remove from heat; add dill and pepper.
  8. Mix gently.
  9. Measure about ½ cup soup; set aside.
  10. Whisk eggs in a bowl, then whisk the ½ cup reserved soup into eggs.
  11. When well-combined pour egg-soup mixture into saucepan of soup.
  12. Heat thoroughly.
