Fried Plantains. Makes 6 servings.

  1. Heat oil in pan. Peel plantains and slice crosswise at an angle.
  2. If desired, sprinkle with salt to taste.
  3. Fry plantains, working in batches and turning as needed, until golden brown.
  4. Drain on paper towels.
  5. Serve hot or warm.
