Makes 6 to 8 servings.



  1. Combine sugar and flour in 2-quart saucepan; gradually stir in milk.
  2. Cook, stirring constantly, over medium heat until thick and bubbly, about 10 minutes.
  3. Reduce heat; cook, stirring, an additional 2 minutes.
  4. Remove from heat.
  5. Gradually stir in 1 cup hot mixture into eggs.
  6. Return egg mixture to saucepan; bring to a slow boil.
  7. Cook, stirring, 2 minutes.
  8. Remove from heat.
  9. Stir in cooked rice, orange peel and vanilla.
  10. Cover and chill in refrigerator.
  11. Fold in whipped topping; pour into crust.
  12. Just before serving, garnish with oranges, kiwi fruit and banana.
