A temperature scale in which 32°F represents freezing and 212°F represents the steam point. Gabriel Daniel Fahrenheit, an 18th-century German physicist, devised the scale.
- To convert a Fahrenheit temperature reading to Celsius, subtract 32 and multiply the remainder by 5/9.
- To convert Celsius temperatures to Fahrenheit, multiply the Celsius figure by 9, divide by 5 and add 32.
