This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Mclean Estate in Irving, Texas in 1982.

  1. Trim steak and cut into serving pieces.
  2. Combine flour, salt and pepper.
  3. Dredge steak in flour mixture and lightly pound with meat mallet.
  4. Brown steak in hot oil in a skillet then place in a shallow two-quart casserole.
  5. Layer bell pepper and onion (both cut into slices) over steak.
  6. Combine water, butter, bouillon granules and soy sauce in skillet.
  7. Cook until bouillon granules dissolve.
  8. Pour sauce over meat, bell pepper and onions.
  9. Cover and bake at 325°F for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
  10. Serve over rice or noodles.
